How HubTub uses your Google data

Apps in your account

Your data and Google permissions

Exactly what HubTub asks Google for, why, and what it will never do.

HubTubYour data

  1. When you sign in

Google shares your name, email address and profile picture with us (the standard openid, email and profile permissions). We use them to identify your account and to write to you about it.

  2. When you connect a channel

We ask for read-only permissions. youtube.readonly (“view your YouTube account”): your channel's identifier, title, picture, subscriber, view and video counts, country and most-viewed public videos, to confirm the channel is yours. Where you allow it, yt-analytics.readonly and yt-analytics-monetary.readonly: your channel's analytics for the last 12 months (views and watch time by month, viewers' countries, age groups and gender as aggregated percentages, traffic sources, the share of Shorts) and its estimated revenue; and youtubepartner-channel-audit: whether the channel is in good standing. Our team reviews this to evaluate your application and propose terms. Analytics data is kept only while it is needed for your application and deleted if not refreshed for 30 days. You can revoke access at any time in your Google account.

  3. What we never do

We never post, edit or delete anything on your channel, never change your settings, and never see your Google password. Your data is not sold, and it is not used for advertising.

  4. How it is protected, and your control

Channel access tokens and tax IDs are stored encrypted. You can remove HubTub's access at any time in your Google Account permissions, or write to creators@hubtub.io to disconnect a channel or delete your data.

  5. When you use HubTub Pulse

HubTub Pulse, our free analytics app, uses the same read-only permissions to show you your channel's reports: views, watch time, subscribers, audience, top videos and how long they are watched, estimated revenue and standing, refreshed daily. They are shown only to you and to the people you choose to share the channel with by accepting their invitation (one person, or every member of a Pulse team), and you can close their access at any time. Our team views them only if you turn on “HubTub offers” in Pulse, to propose network terms for the channels you connected; you can turn it off at any time. Reports are deleted when you remove the channel from Pulse or revoke access, and if they haven't been refreshed for 30 days. If you connect your AI assistant to Pulse, it can read, at your request, the reports of the channels you connected yourself and of those shared with you whose owners allowed it, including the audience retention, thumbnail impressions and click-through rate of top videos, which Pulse keeps for those channels; you can disconnect it at any time. You decide whether the people you share a channel with may read it through their AI assistants.

HubTub's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Read the full Privacy Policy.
